The Kazakhs in Aksay, including Qinghai, came from Balikun and Qinghe in Xinjiang in the early years of the Republic of China because of the situation at that time, and then nomadic here. In the 1950s, Aksay Kazakh Autonomous County was established in 博罗转井. In the 1990s, due to the high altitude and radioactive elements in the water source, the county seat began to be relocated. Around the end of the 1990s, it was completely relocated to the current location in Aksay County under the mountain. The original county seat was abandoned. Later, it became famous because "九层妖塔" was filmed here, and now it has become a paid scenic spot.
